Whiteley makes history with 'perfect 36'

Worcester batsman slams six sixes in an over but Yorkshire take the points after Willey's whirlwind ton


Worcestershire's Ross Whiteley hit six sixes in an over on Sunday to join a select group who've performed the feat in senior cricket.

Whiteley struck Yorkshire left-arm spinner Karl Carver for six sixes – a total of 36 runs – during the 16th over of Worcestershire's innings in an English Twenty20 match at Headingley.

MP govt announces Rs 50 lakh award for women's cricket team

BHOPAL: The  Madhya Pradesh government has announced Rs 50 lakh award for the Indian women's cricket team, which finished as runners-up in the Women's Cricket World Cup. The Indian women's team lost by nine runs to England in a tense summit clash of the World Cup last night, finishing runners-up for the second time - the previous being the 2005 edition.
